Nope. The pebbles in the gizzard take care of the husks.dont the shells get caught in their gizzard?
i have wild strawberries all over my yard and the come out of the patches with strawberry all over their beaks. so cutemy aunt hangs them under the edge of shelter so rain does not mold them as they dry...I am thinking of planting strawberries and sunflower and kale all around the edge of the run next spring.
