First time mommy here. My babies are a month old now and eating me out of house and home, so to speak. I have 38 fryers and 12 layers. I have three different waterers that hold 5 gal. of water total and two 2 foot long feeders, a three foot long feeder. I feed in the morning before work and after I get home and they are empty by the time I get there again. Am I not feeding enough ? I fill them plum full everytime. I am going thru a 50lb bag every week. Is that normal ?

I would guess it is the fryers eating most of it. although I don't have fryers I thinks others would be able to help a bit more

I use 50lbs a week for a mixed flock of 55-65 standard and bantam, pullets, layers and roos.
Not much help, I know, but just to let you know they may surprise you-I was surprised how much they could eat when I first got chickens.
My girls can empty the feeder and still come running for scraps like their starving!!!

oh, and have you made sure it's not being scratched out and wasted?
