Fence posts in packed dirt or concrete for run??

So my run is gunna be 8 x 15 an I'm gunna be using pressure treated 4x4s with 1/2 hard whare cloth. But I am wondering if I can just set the fence posts in with packed dirt of should I use concrete?

I thought your question was answered in your other thread you started on the same topic?

Like was stated coat the 4X4 in the ground with roof tar and you are good to go. Or just pour dry concrete in around your post and it will set.

I would just use the packed dirt and not bother with the concrete. As long as you dig it deep enough, it really shouldn't move.

You can do either or. If you go the packed dirt route, the hole should be 2' deep minimum (maybe deeper up north)Then put a few inches of dirt in and tamp it down, then a few inches more, don't fill the hole half way up then start tamping it. If you use concrete, only fill the hole 3/4 of the way up, then pack dirt to the top.
