I am so excited my 21 and 22 week old chickes have started laying eggs! I found a RIR hen being a drama queen maoning and growling in a nest box and a few hrs later when I checked there was a small brown egg. That was Friday. To date I have 6 eggs from my 9 layers. These eggs are so small comapted to a store bought jumbo egg! I took pics but they are still in my camera.

Congrads, yes they are normally referred to as pullet eggs. Since you have production reds, I think you will find , in short order, they will be provide you with large to jumbo eggs, and should lay 5-6 per week.

Hooray!

FYI, it is normal for the eggs to be small at first. They will get bigger with time as the hen gets used to laying eggs.
