My females Harlequin and now Cayuga have been laying on their eggs for two weeks approximately. First time for both of them and for us too as duck owners. They are in their own coop with the Cayuga male. This morning I found two caved in eggs in the the front corner of the coop. What could have caused this? Should I remove the male? Pictures attached.

I would remove the drake. Drakes will try to mate hens that are brooding and eggs get broke as a result.
Thank you! I removed him right after your comments. We found another egg today at the same spot. Hopefully it's the last. Wondering why they are doing this? Do they know it's not viable anymore and pushing it out of the nest?

My ducks do not discard bad eggs. I have noticed that when the ducks turn their eggs, sometimes one will roll out of the nest; it is promptly returned to the clutch by the duck, but I had a muscovy use a nest bowl that when an egg rolled out of the nest, the duck was unable to get it back in the nest. Is this a possibility with yours?
