So this was my first time hatching EVER.
Because this was my first time, i thought they were not going to hatch due to my inexperience.
I ordered some polish bantam eggs from someone on byc and 5 of them hatched on Feb 2nd!

I was so proud of my little babies!

I was alittle worried because one (zip chick) ended up zipping most of the way first but then couldn't progress and got shrink wrapped.
He ended up being one of the last to hatch.
I used a straw through the vent holes to keep it hydrated.
It ended up hatching with the yolk sac still unabsorbed and for a day or so i had to separate it from the others because it was dragging it around and getting picked it.
It wasn't looking good, but then all of a sudden it fell off! And hes been doing great since!
We also had one other egg that hatched backwards. And we call it "derp chick". since it seems to be on the "special side" and occasional will walk into walls

.
Both those two are on the smaller side, but they seem to be very determined and are doing great now!
Its hard to tell their colors, but it looks like most of them will be white crested blue, and 1 or 2 could be white crested black and/or white crested splash.
I will be trying to get some photo's and videos today!

Finally got some pictures!
We haven't really named any of them yet, but they have nicknames to identify them.

We have two runts:

Then this is derp chick. Our runt that came out the pointy end of the egg and has a weird head/neck

This was a chick that was born with a unabsorbed yolk sac, good now though. We call it zip chick (because it shrink wrapped while zipping).
