We don’t have heat or lights in our chicken coop, just a ‘utility de-icer’ for our 7 gallon water tank. We don’t get nearly as many eggs but other than the frost bite, the ladies seem to be happy and healthy. They really don’t like walking in the snow and won’t come down their ramp unless the snow is off it. The only changes I’m going to make this coming spring 1. Overhanging roof over their run and screen it in fully 2. Run electrical out and install an outlet for lighting inside the coop/automatic hen door opener/closer. 66E08672-A58A-4EFD-B0F9-0F015180B843.jpeg 5029F9EE-AF1C-47C8-876E-AE5842336F8E.jpeg 3B95A4F6-A280-4694-A0D1-CA4E1685DFD6.jpeg 9AE7CA70-53AF-43C9-8B22-80BE96F72EF4.jpeg D5D26025-AD98-493E-8638-D648F6137C29.jpeg 151AD1BA-86B7-42F8-A48C-495BFC52C60D.png 523D5E84-BBB4-4E52-9502-5CAFA477A96B.jpeg
