Flies, flies, flies!

Quote:
Ialso live in FL and i use sand in areas that get wet to help water flow off and absorb quicker. The rain has been bad this year here and the flies are swarming. I have ducks to help with the flies and DE is a big life saver. I still have to rake up the chicken run and clean the coop often.

I keep a small NYC backyard coop/run and the DE is a life saver for drying up the moisture and controlling the flies. My neighbors are right on top of my coop ......literally.......so it is important I keep it super "clean"smelling.

Have to spread it on a regular basis (every few days on the run....less in the coop iself) to keep up......but well worth the cost/effort.
Problem if the ground is wet......DE doesn't work as well on wet ground........try to spread it when it is more dry to get ahead of the game.
Good luck!
