i have a newly hatched silkies.. the others are fine but one wants to look up and flop onto back.. i have meds , vitamins but have never used them.. never had any problems in 4yrs of raising and you have changed the site and i can't find any info about it.. please help... thank you.

how old are the chicks one day? one hour? I would put electrolytes in the water. It just might be a weak chick that has to get stronger (depending on how old it is)

i put nutri drench in the water and hand fed it with a syringe and put it back under mom.... will see how it does in a few hours...it was still damp from hatching.. thinking hubby jumped the gun in holding it too early.. vitamins won't hurt it though so put some out for the other chicks too..

Give it some time, I've had some real floppers and it was because they were just hatched and not strong yet, little chick just needs some time to adjust
