You know the deal- “sexed” pullets (not from TSC though, 😂). I’m like 90% sure I have at least one if not two cockerels of the trio, but just looking for confirmation.

The most reddish one is Trashley - she is the smallest one (has been since day old) and has feathered the fastest by a long shot. Also the most outgoing! She can fly super far and likes to perch on me.

Fish is the yellow faced/eyeliner one with the partridge pattern and single comb. More timid, definitely the biggest. I am pretty sure cockerel based on comb and red splotches but I could be wrong, still young. No cockerel habits.

Mrs. Gambolini is the more gray one with the black fuzz on the face. The most timid one but sometimes likes to flap onto my arm for a bit. Not mean at all. I am on the fence - there are NO tail feathers yet and it’s feathering so slowly that I kind of think could be cockerel too?

I know it’s early and it’s all guessing anyway, I’m new to this “breed” (I know it’s a mix!) so just wanted your thoughts!

The one on your shoulder is a pullet- really iffy on the other two. A couple more weeks will be super telling.
Thanks, I’ll take “iffy” over “they’re definitely both boys” at this stage since we specifically got them to add color to our egg rotation, but that’s the way the cookie crumbles 🤣

The eyeliner chick has red shoulders and doesn't have the consistent pattern down it's wings like your pirate chick. That's a pretty big 'tell' with this type of EE.

The least feathered chick seems to be feathering red shoulders as well, which is why it's iffy. That's not to say only chicks with typical feathering (like your pullet) are female, but it seems to be pretty consistent.

Here are some updated photos of the two suspect ones this week! I’m pretty confident that A Nice Piece of Fish (single comb) is cockerel at this point. Jury is still out on Mrs. Gambolini (the one with dark head) because the red now feels like it’s more evenly distributed in the feathers - but probably still leaning boy.
