Free Range Quail

I am wanting to start having free ranged quail. I've read that if you provide them with a return box, they will come back to it and lay their eggs. Is this true?

If you release them you need to keep 1 bird in a cage inside the call back cage so he/she will call the others back.It will work for a little while and then you will notice fewer birds returning.A call back cage is similar to a lobster trap with the entrance a funnel type that points upwards slightly.

Thanks Tony. So, would it be better to use a regular quail pen?

A planted aviary might be the next best thing.
