I think our local feed and seed wants to try to place these in new homes.

All but one of the extra roos are gone.

Four went to the local feed and seed. He wants to rehome them.

Who would have guessed I would get 7 roos out of 8 peepers?

A good friend ( with 200 chickens) took one roo and left a wonderful Australorp hen as a trade!

Then I took the last "extra" roo to the freed store. They had already placed all four of the roos I dropped off last week.

I am now down to three! I have Dumbledore - the always alpha roo that I love. Reeta Skeeter, the only Blue hen I had. And the new Australorp hen who is working hard to fit into the micro flock.

There's hope in Smallville tonight!
