Friend's Dog attacked our rooster

Yesterday Our friend brought their dog over and someone accidentally left the chicken gate open. Dog got in and got the rooster. The rooster seemed ok minus some feathers. Now today he is holding up his foot a lot when not walking and he's not crowing. What can I do to help the little guy?

I do not have experience with chickens, just quail, but I would isolate him from the rest of your flock so he does not get stressed or pecked at. I would also carefully check his leg for cuts and if there are any, bandage them. Is there anything you can get in the way of pain relievers? I am no expert, but I would think that the reason for him not crowing is just that he is stressed. Hope this helps!

I have experience with roosters and sad to say being attacked by dogs.. He will crow once he starts to feel better and a few weeks go by he is just traumatized .. Is the leg swollen or bruised?
