Frigid weather anxiety

Of course. Why do chickens do that? “I know, how about we lose the down coat for winter? Y’all in?”

One of my girls is molting now as well! I gave her some extra mealworms before bedtime. Had to laugh at the "half naked GRITS" comment... have same here in Alabama, except for my one perpetually angry bantam roo. I feel very unprepared for this weather.

I was “Caught with my pants down” when this came through last year. Darned if it didn’t happen again.
Time to get better pants…
