Cool I saw them being sold on ebay and tessed my family that I was gonna get one. There is no way though I am not even supposed to have chickens and would never get away with an Emu! What do you do with them? are the eggs eaten? do you use the birds for meat, or are they just pets?

I like to eat em, I blow the egg out of the shell and save the shells, I sell some and give some away. We are looking to try to hatch a few this year. We've had some people who wanted to buy some eggs and try to hatch them themselves. So we will be selling a few eggs for hatching real soon. ..................

Congratulations on your first egg!

I haven't gone down yet to see how many he has in his nest, but Enoch my male, began sitting on the eggs yesterday. 56 days and counting....

LOL, last year I tried to blow out one of the eggs.... even being pretty thick shelled, it IS possible to blow one up! Luckily the mess wasn't too bad.

How do you prepare the eggs you eat?
