Hello all! I have a question that I hope some longtime Frizzle breeders can help me with. I am going to narrow down my breeding program. As of right now I have two Frizzle roosters I breed full silkies to and two Silkie roosters that I breed the Frizzles to. I have heard that breeding a smooth frizzle to a frizzle gives you the best chance for frizzle chicks. Also, my main rooster throws 4 feather types, frizzle, smooth, silkie and fuzzy fuzzy silkies on steroids.
In your opinion, would it be better to breed my Frizzle roosters to smooth hens (from a frizzle), Silkie roosters to frizzle hens or breed Frizzle rooster to Silkies only? Also, what exactly do you call a chicken that looks like a Silkie but came from a frizzle dad? I DO NOT breed Frizzle to Frizzle.
