I got this story from a lady on my Yahoo! canning group and thought it was a hoot. I just had to share it (with her permission).
My sister had a rooster that was the breed that has feathers on it's
feet. The bird had an interesting little move as it placed each foot
on the ground, to keep from walking on it's feathers. The rooster
was quickly named Elvis due to this interesting hip movement.
They had "Elvis and dumplings" cooked one day.
