Dusky saw the shadow of another wolf appear to her left. Veering, she headed out across the open plains. Black Ice kicked at a wolf, that was leaping at her flanks. Ash, suffering from colic, brought up the rear, whinnying in terror. A sick horse was always the once picked off.

Arwen bucked a wolf away, and dropped back to run by Ash

Ace spotted a clump of lovely looking grass over his hill. He would leave the sigh of his herd, but that would be alright. He would be gone only for a moment. He trotted down the other side and chewed happily.

Flare couldn't stop herself, though she wanted to. She trotted after the stud.

"Get up!" called the blue roan.

Ash kicked feebly at a wolf snapping at her heels.

Ace swished his tail, a look of pure enjoyment on his face as he let the yummy juices seep through his mouth. He looked up when he heard Flare.

Flare neared Ace, curious about what he was eating.

"Get up!" called the blue roan.

Ash kicked feebly at a wolf snapping at her heels.

Dropping back and around Ash Arwen reared, striking the wolf down, then galloping to catch back up to the herd
