Analiya didn't know anything about being in a sister's shadow. She was Dusky's firstborn, and the only of her fillies allowed to stay in Titan's herd.
Cinders, not Dour's sharpest descendant, stared stupidly at the black lump for several minutes. Finally, instincts started kicking in, and she neared it, nudging it gently.
Sky followed, sadly. She held her head up and began to bring back her happy gate. After all, her old friends were still here.
Flare came back to the herd a little later. She didn't know whether to be happy, worried or show no emotion at all.
