Gapeworm Diagnosis

My girls won't let me feed them. I got them when they were 6 months old so they don't let me hold them. How can I give them the medicine for gapeworms???

You have to figure out a way to hold them.

Night time when they are on the roost they will be sleepy and calm. I will take a head lamp and go into the coop and just pick up each bird, then put them back after doing what needs to be done.

Why do you suspect gapeworms? Are they eating and drinking on their own?

My rooster in stretching his neck out and opening his mouth REALLY wide. Today he started shaking his head also.. His nose and eyes are fine. He isn't wheezing or sneezing. He DOES look like he is loosing weight. I noticed that today. It reminds me of how my first rooster looked when he got sick. They gave me Tetracycline and he died. Today the Agway chicken girl gave me...tetracycline. I'm not giving it to him. I started some pumpkin and his water already has apple cider vinegar in it. I just read that you can use Safe Guard 10% solution for goats for him since the med I need is no longer available in the USA. The UK won't ship it here either. What do you think??
