Definitely leaning towards cockerel, though I don't know much of anything about Rhode Island Reds. I don't know what age it is, but from the looks of it I would think pretty young, and that looks like fast-developing comb and waddles for that age.

Where was this chick purchased from? Although Rhode Island Reds can have rose combs, this variety is incredibly rare and would be coupled with heritage characteristics like darker color. Potentially Cinnamon Queen pullet
I got this chick from my neighbor, it was a fertilized egg that I incubated so I’m not sure where they bought their chick that hatched it from.

It’s about 5 weeks. It will be 6 weeks on Sunday I believe.
