They will need to be size of adults completely feathered in also. at least just before laying age. so around 4 months before the drake should be with them. Some drakes are really over sexually mature and will even go after young females before they are ready to breed. Not saying as they mature you can't give them Supervised visits but just be aware of what your drake maybe up too.

By the way Welsh Ducky, I just read this tip yesterday...if you're worried about your lone drake getting lonely and depressed, get an unbreakable mirror for him. It helps for awhile because they think there's another duck with them.
