Getting chicks shipped

Need info. I have had eggs shipped to I live in Cleveland Tn. I would like to order some chicks, but don't know about this zip code embargo and is it still in effect. Has anyone had problems getting chicks shipped in Tn. Appreciate any help on how and what to do.

What is the embargo for? Thats so strange that some zips can have chicks sent and not others....

It has more to do with the origin zip than the destination but a combination of both.
Hope this explains it for all.

For the OP, you'll have to select a hatchery/breeder located in another part of the country from which to purchase.

this is on some breeders sites if you live in certain zip codes they cannot ship to that code. Would like to know if anyone else has had chicks shipped in tn.

I have seen it on several sites. I know one was in Spring Hill FL. I really want to order some orps,but don't want to place order of they cannot ship to Cleveland TN. Any info appreciated
