Getting electrified

Can anyone give me the basic how to to get set up for electric fencing? We have an 8x8 coop/run under construction with a metal roof. What suppplies do we need to set up an electric fence? Can you buy an all inclusive kit? Also, where would you wire the coop. Around the top perimeter and bottom? Also, we don't want to spend much $, is it expensive? Can you use the same power source that you use to light the coop? Like plugging it into the same outlet?

Your cost will depend on how elaborate a system you want to install. You should be able to set up a basic system for less than $200. Weather or not that is expensive, I guess depends on your budget. The plug in models use very little power. not much more than a light bulb. Good luck to you.
