Getting the flock out of here - a diary of a crazy chicken man

Something happened

In less than ten days we went from just chicken eggs to almost every birds type giving up cackleberries.

Even my waste of a good coop quail started. 10 eggs yesterday and 16 eggs today. We are up to 2 guinea eggs an a Pekin egg a day. Now we just need some chukar.

I had a great chuckle

seriously thinking about creating a single "trolley" roll in incubator. - maybe only 24 tray beast though

Always scary to drive with overweight loads on a trailer. I was feeling lazy and didn't want to do several runs when I picked up some soil a few years ago. Loaded about 1000kg of soil, sand and bricks on a trailer meant for maybe 500kg max. That was an interesting drive...

the picture that flashed in my head; a giant cabinet, long and narrow, push in a cart of eggs, tomorrow push in another cart, pushing the 1st cart farther along, continue, on day 21 on the other end of the cabinet, out comes a cart full of chicks ;-)
