Giant silkies??

Last summer at a county fair I saw a chicken that was the largest one I've ever seen, much larger than my full grown buff brahma rooster, it was huge!! And if was all black with full silkie feathering! Has anyone seen anything like this before? Or if you own them please show pictures! Sorry I dont have pictures of them, wish I would have taken some!

It was probably a Hedemora. I have 2 chicks.

I just looked up Hedemora on Greenfire farms. It says that they are small chickens, though not as small as bantams, but defiantly not large. There are people working on breeding larger silkies by crossing them with brahmas and Jersey Giants, but they are still just in project phases at the moment as far as I am aware, as I have looked for some myself. It may have been a project bird someone wanted to display, if it wasn't labeled.

There are people on the forum who are trying to breed large fowl size silkies. They are not uncommon in the UK.
