I have a golden comet. Loved by the rooster. Hasn’t produced eggs once. But she’s like 2 years old.

I’m pretty sure she has vent gleet. I brought her in and gave her a spa treatment! Before her rinse i checked her bum. I pushed on it and some ozzy yellow slimy stuff came out. What can I buy that I give either orally or inject into her bum? I read and read and notice people say this emergency aid gel but doesn’t say to inject orally or by mouth or even what it’s called.
Please help on what I can do for her! She’s my favourite!

She also could have an internal laying problem, and the yellow discharge might be egg matter. Does she smell bad, or have a reddened vent area with yellow or white patches of fungal infection? Her history of not laying eggs, sounds like she has a reproductive disorder.

If you still think she has vent gleet, she may need an antifungal medication, such as Nystatin from a vet. Here is some reading about gleet and internal laying problems:

Actually below her vent hole is very red! Whole red bottom, I sprayed with blue Kote I thought the birds may try pecking at her.. She wreaked when I brought her in to bath her I thought was just the poppy smell because she isn’t very clean when she poops and it cakes down her butt. Any advice on that? With that information?

I’ll take some tomorrow!

I attached s picture of it cleaned up after the bath it was really caked on. I thought give her a break I rubbed the monistat cream on her hole and now just about to blow dry her. I always forget to take pictures of it. It’s a little hectic until she calms down in the water

The vent is white crude but she had a bath so it’s cleaned up stuck my finger in there and pooped sprayed out. Her crop is big and squishy it’s 430pm that normal?

Check the crop first thing in the morning before she has had anything to eat/drink.

What are you feeding her? Sometimes a diet change is in order to help with Vent Gleet as well. It's not uncommon for a hen to have crop issues accompany Vent Gleet. If you haven't taken a look at the links provided by @Eggcessive in the previous posts, that would be a good idea.

How do I look at her links I. The previous post, so no I have not but I have read soooo much in vent gleet (or other possible diseases or causes) but still had caution and wanted an opinion from anyone who could give me an answer that would actually help me. Some people have and also bringing her in for a check up this week after the monistat. Thanks.

If anyone can give advice on pictures I’ve posted thank you in advance

I would continue to give her a soak, clean up the vent and apply an anti-fungal cream topically.
Your girl also looks to have a bit of bloat/swelling under the vent between the legs. When I see that in mine, usually that is a good indicator there is a reproductive problem as well. It could be Egg Yolk Peritonitis, cancer, tumors, internal laying or fluid in the belly called Ascites. Any of these can cause some crop issues as well.

Sometimes with Vent Gleet, a crop issue like sour crop or even bacterial infection can be seen. She may need something like Nystatin which is taken internally to help get yeast under control. Diet also plays a roll, feed her her normal feed and limit the amount of treats she gets. Watch to see that she is drinking well.

If the vet can see her, that would be good.
