Ok, someone is whistling so I know I have one drake. All drakes? Someone quacks pretty loud. They are about 8 weeks

I'm curious to hear an expert response on this one! I also have a Golden 300 duck, which I assumed was a drake because I was told that the dark coloring was indicative of a male, and the lighter brown was female. But my duck (which looks a lot like the darker one in your last photo, with a distinct white patch on its chest), is quacking up a storm! What's more reliable? Coloring? Or quack?

Was James quacking at all lol?! I am hopeful she is happy being quiet and could quack if she wanted to but I haven’t heard one quack!

What did yours end up being? I have 5 golden 300s they all look the same and are about 2 months old. None really quack, wondering if I got 5 drakes?
