Good Enough for layer feed?

I wouldn't buy feed off some random ebay seller...

Who knows what you are really getting. You may be getting 16% chicken feed...

I can see what you mean by buying from a random ebayer but I talked to him and he is a very nice person. Also, I don't have any feed stores around because I live in a urban area.
 
Ask him which feed mill. If he says Lone Star. (Lone Star is a big mill sells just in Texas, as I understand). Its what I have used in the past and it is 29% protein. I had a problem getting my dealer to get it ordered for me. So I switched dealers.
Even if its that though, you have no idea how old the stuff is. Nutrional value starts to slip after 2 months on these feeds. But if you have to mail order.

And yes, I use a startena and add oyster shell and dryed crushed egg shell to their sandbox and all is well.
