Our 3 geese have started dropping significantly more poop in the last few weeks. A lot of it is black and a lot bigger some of it is actually turd-shaped. They recently started having access to our compost pile which is all vegetative matter. Has anyone else had this experience with their geese?

Yes. They are eating, drinking, eating lots of grass. Acting normally. Here are some pics. It's kind of hard to tell how black it is, though.

What Happened? Did your geese's poops just sort themselves out on their own? I am experiencing the same thing right now with my goose, and I think perhaps it has to do with her having just started laying eggs again.??? My gander's droppings have not changed. Please let me know if there is anything to worry about with this.

Sometimes my geese seek out the last burn pile for charcoal. They enjoy eating some of it and there’s always black goose poo strewn about the yard afterwards. It works it’s way through and they’ll go back to normal color poop
