This is my first time incubating eggs and i am quite nervous.

I am incubating Chinese goose, it is at day 30.

It externally Pipped but at the bottom i will add photo.

Should I do anything in this case?
Goose seems to be very vocal in the past few hours

Goslings may take a while to hatch, but don't worry. The gosling seems to be fine. If he's still chirping, then he's still active and not weak, so that's good. How long has it been since the gosling pipped? They naturally are supposed to pip towards the end of the egg, that's where the air sac is.

I think it Pipped roughly 8-10h ago.
It is making slow progress.

I probably got worried from googling stuff and from the bird being more vocal, not sure if it is struggling or is this normal?

normal .. out of every batch ive ever hatched theres some that take ~24 hours or even a bit more after pip ... i wouldnt begin to worry until the 'second' day after pip ..

Thanks

I was also worried a out the position of the pip. Bottom instead of top of the egg.

I just saw the beak popping out so yeah i might have rung the alarm bell prematurely.

Gosling hatched around 9pm.
I had a look at it now (10h in the incubator.)

It still have yolk sac attached, or what i think is a yolk sac, it is 1cm big and red.

Should I just leave it in the incubator till it dries out? It is the last bird in the incubator.
