my female pilgrim has a hanging belly, it's not hard, or"fat" looking. It's more thin stretch of her body thats low hanging between her legs. She hadn't laid in three days so was worried there was an egg stuck. Again I felt the area and no hard feeling, she did just lay about 20 minutes ago. Could it have been an egg that was stuck? Does this area tend to hang lower during egg laying times?

It is lower when a goose is in egg production. She isn't "egg stuck" she just didn't lay the day she was supposed to ;)
They stop laying for various of reasons but most common are dramatic weather change, diet and if something spooked them.
My goose didn't lay for 4 days after an arrival of a fox.
Wait till the next few eggs come and see if she lays in order again :)

Great thank you. I know to expect days in between eggs but didn't expect hanging belly during egg laying. She is our first goose so still figuring things out.

It's ok! It's common for beginners to ask questions like that ;)
If she acts weird in anyway just say so!
