Off topic, but forgot to say earlier that I counted my birds. 38 adult chickens, 17 chicks, two broodies on eggs. 7 ducks and 4 muscovies.

Not nearly as bad as I had imagined. I have a friend coming Saturday and we’re going to process some roos. I’m going to pluck the very biggest one, and judging his carcass we’ll see how the rest go. The youngest ones and banties are getting skinned. I’ll use them for stir fry or something.

I’m for sure keeping the banty Cochin and hona cocks. In cockerels I’m keeping the naked neck, maybe one other. So looking at processing 7-8 birds.

I have 22 pullets and 5 hens, so not too far off my goal numbers.

Red Lobster has endless shrimp. OMG I would bust.I would go buy a purse so I could fill it up full of shrimp scampi. LOL Its been way too long. 12 plus yrs

OF course I was down to 2 hens and 6 drakes this spring and am now over 40 with another nest on the way.
