I shouldn't have said "running." Running was what I was trying to do. Hobbling, cripping, staggering, slip-sliding and cursing is what I was actually doing, in socks and sandals because I can't actually get shoes on. In several inches of cold, wet, slushy, icy snow. I'm an idiot, but we get no traffic except the cattle people twice a day. And you're right, it did my foot/ankle/knee a whole lot of no good at all.
