Good Im happy for you. Glad its over. Did the 2 men that rented for a week leave too?

the one is still "hunting" the other on to either pay for another week or for tonight. He's not back yet.

so the main herd was out in the pasture so I stopped to count heads and look them over. Lizzy B must have calved yesterday. Then go the the house and bag the eggs, do the gates so Idiot and give Curly and crew another bale of hay. We gather eggs HOW the number of hens I have could manage to lay over 7 dozen since dusk last night is BEYOND ME ! Oh and then had to get 7 hens back into the run. Those ones from last spring are flyers, going to have to clip their wings.

On the way out stop to check on Lizzy's calf and WAIT now there are 3 of the little buggers out there. Granola calved in the hour or so it took to get everything done. So 3 littles on the ground so far. Stuck around long enough to make sure the new one was up and trying to nurse.

Might have to name Lizzy's little one TAXES DUE since it was born on April 15.

So did both of the ones you sold calf already or just the one?

We had 6/10 of an inch of rain here by noon. The farm got an inch or more. Grass is greening up nicely.
