Great day yesterday

I just had to share my day. I had lunch with a friend that I went to elementary school with and was out of contact for over 40 years yesterday. We walked to school together for years as we lived only 2 blocks apart then after grade 9 my family moved away and hers moved away after grade 10. Lost contact completely until a couple months ago when she contacted me on Facebook. We met yesterday and spent the day catching up. We now live only 2 hours apart! It was great to she her again.

I run across people from time to time that say they don't have a Facebook account because if they were really friends they would have kept in touch through the years. A big copout in my opinion. Lives get busy ~ drift apart for many different reasons. FB has been a blessing for me ~ to be able to get back in touch with people as far back as kindergarten. Its been a pleasure to catch up with them.

Congrats to you for finding an old friend and wishing you 40 more years of friendship!
