(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Been herding chickens for two years.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
Right now six hens
(3) What breeds do you have?
Barred Rick and Easter Eggers
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
The chickens give me a little taste of self reliance. Also, they are just plain fun!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I raise coturnix quail and just started with hair sheep.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I'm married to my beautiful wife Erin. We have two sons, and they keep us busy. Our roles have changed a little. She has the great job, and I watch the kids. Throw in what we are saving without day care and it was a no-brainer.
Now we have a small patch of land, plan to build a house and add lots of fun critters.
