Growing out Rabbits?

I have a question for everyone. Would I be able to say build a 20X20 pen Earth over mesh wire bottom(so they don't dig out) pen to grow and fatten rabbits up till butchering time or would that not work? Thanks everyone for your help. Also how long does it take to grow rabbits to butchting size? Thanks everyone.

8-12 weeks , depending on your breed and how large you like them​
