While chicken math is fine, guinea pig math is only recommended if you are adopting from a shelter. I didn’t get a vote on the pregnancies. It won’t happen again.

I believe she's a Peruvian Guinea Pig. The person who gave her to us must have just trimmed her hair.

“Harden your heart” isn’t a joke. Dad and son are fine, but the poor baby wants his mother, and is crying loudly. Mom was not into his attention, and he’s at the cutoff weight.

Meat Loaf is fine with Dad (I blocked his view of Mom for a few days). Apparently you only let them see Mom if the baby boar is alone.
Speaking of baby boars, two more were born overnight. The birth was unassisted, and the boys expired. Because they weren’t cleaned, I don’t know. I want to let you guys know that while everything I’ve read is negative and scary, a 4 1/2 y-o guinea pig gave birth to two big boys, and they likely would have survived if I’d been there. Be practical if you find your older/geriatric girl pregnant, but don’t freak yourself out.
