Hamburg laying patterns

I am not sure if this is a new thread or not. A number of years ago I got 3 Hamburg pullets from a hatchery. They would lay only from mid March until they molted in September. Am just wondering is others have or are experiencing the same with their hatchery Hamburgs? A ratio of laying about 6 months and no eggs for 6 months. thanks

I don't have hamburgs, but I do have similar breeds that lay like that, so it's not unusual.
