Handling hens

My six hens should be getting to egg laying age soon. My kids love to play with them though and carry them around the yard. The girls seem to just tolerate it.
Will this stress them out causing them to not lay? Is it possible to break an egg inside the chicken from handling them?

I do not think it will keep them from laying unless your kids are banging them around, screaming in their face, or being really rough with them. Same with eggs breaking in them; they would have to be really rough.
