I am new the the forum but have raised hens for 4 years. Learned from a lot of mistakes and love the 7 we have now! We have 3 young adult sons and they can all eat a LOT so these hens help feed our family! They are all reds, but one is pretty small and lighter, and one is bigger than the others. They are all super cool and love me (likely because I feed them). They roam during the day and roost at night in a secured hen house. We installed a solar door on it last year and that has been awesome (I don't have to get to the barn at 7am....) And the solar door has a Texas flag on it which make me happy.
