Hello everybody. I'm new to chickens, but I'm so glad I found you. My wife got 9 chickens and a coop from a friend who was moving and couldn't take it all with him. I'm not sure what breeds they are or how to find out yet, but I do know that they aren't particularly healthy. It looks like they've pecked each other quite a bit, so some are missing feathers. So we have some work to do. We've only had them a few days, but I can see that they're already great to have around.

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow

Congrats on your new flock! Make sure they have plenty of space, you might get them on probiotics or a good vitamin supplement like Poultry Cell. Check them over for mites or lice too. And let them relax a bit.
