Has Anybody Ever Seen Eyes Like This?

I emailed the lady that does our NPIP testing with pics, and she said it is likely not Marek's. She said Marek's usually makes the iris cloudy. She said she has seen birds with eye color like this. Another guy on CO Chickens FB group said that his Splash Andulusians get eyes like this, not the Black or the Blue, only the Splash. I'm pretty sure it is simply a genetic trait. I'm butchering the one rooster with it on Sunday, and will likely cull the other too. I sure wish I knew which hen is producing them, I would cull her too.

I've seen a few different iris pigmentation patterns similar to this, but it doesn't appear a strong gene if it's genetic, and I haven't seen it correlate to disease though as others mentioned it is known to be a symptom of some diseases. Definitely something to look into, or keep an ear out for, I guess, sooner or later we'll learn more about the why/what/how etc of it.

Best wishes.
