I am ordering one of these for my goats. Can't wait to see if it can be converted to a decent coop. If I like it I will order another to use for chickens. The one I am getting for my TFG's is the deluxe model that comes with feeders and such but, you can order just the shell which I will do if I convert one to a coop.

Our local dairy uses them for a couple of calves they leave out in the front of their yard for the children to visit. I've seen them use it for at least two years, I think it works really good. I never thought of using one for a coop - great idea!

I think there may have been some discussions here on the forum about this. Perhaps if you do a search for "calf shed" or "goat shed" you may find some examples. I am not sure if shed is the right word, though.

A buddy of mine got several of these-

He got them without the doors or ventilation windows cut out and did that himself to accommodate chickens, not calves. It was easy to do with a sabre saw.

They are made so a 3/4" pc of treated plywood can be slipped into channels for a floor. He then attached two 4x4 runners to the bottom so it can be dragged around.

Worked nice.
