Lots of people read this forum. Lots of beginners, lots of youth. It is necessary to mention when something is illegal. Maybe the OP knows, many who read will not and it is not OK to let them think it is OK to do just because they read that someone else on BYC is doing it.

i know but its seems patronizing chewing people out people over some half baked law . shes just trying to save a life,

there plenty of people on here with illegal chickens and no one bitches them out that's why they are on the how to change chicken ordinance forum. so people that are actively committing a crime can get the laws changed. whether there intending to do something illegal (having a chicken in a no chicken zone) or not they are still doing a crime. but that doesn't mean there intentions are bad.

Federal laws come with much stiffer penalties then the zoning laws...

And people who have chickens illegally and know it are different then someone that might not know the laws...

And people that do keep illegally and know it do not seem to be helped as much as people who thought they had- "their ducks in a row"
