I know exactly what your saying I have 6 Runner duckling and 4 were to go to a new home I couldn’t part with them after they hatched so the person got eggs (from me) so she can hatch her own

Just to be clear, this eggs is sitting pointy side down. The albumen is still present (which it isnt in any of my other eggs when candeled).

Also update!! I have 3 this morning and a beak peeping through! Not gonna intervene just let these little miles take their time

To be completely honest I don’t know. I set my countdown to 32 days and it hit 0 about maybe 5 days ago?! I heard Muscovy eggs take longer so I’m not sure if that applies to you- but I always am willing to give them a few more days!

I’ve got another with about a 1/4 in squares external pup and see his little beak I’m wondering at what point do they need intervention? How long fronexternal pup should I wait? I know they get tired but I don’t want him to dry out!!

This is what it looks like as clearly as I could photograph inside the incubator. I can see some movement I assume is a beak but can’t tell if there’s membrane between that has not actually opened.

Also the baby from this morning has fluffed up so pretty!

That white looking rubbery stuff is the membrane. It's can breath so that's good.

I would take the egg out real quick and get a good look in it with a flash light in a dark closet.
