heat light question

The red lights work well, and won't deprive them of sleep.

Cut a big box apart and stand it up like a screen, blocking the light from shining out into the rest of the room. That will keep the glare out of your eyes and make it considerably easier to sleep.

i fixed the bright light issue. I had an old dog kennel that I wrapped with thinl paper so now the light isnt so bright.

I think you should be using a red heat lamp bulb. The white light will prevent them from resting, and might also cause them to start picking at each other.

I do not have a heat source for my chicks, they are 13 days old now and I let them outside during the day and bring them back into the garage at night, it gets into the 60's here at night.
