we live in Sitka, Alaska. I grew up on a farm in Florida but that was soooo many years ago. I find a lot of knowledge I used to have, has departed. We are expecting 3 day old chicks in a week. Fun times ahead!

Hello :frow and Welcome To BYC! Good luck with your new chicks, hope they all arrive safely! X2 on TwoCrows suggestion of check out the Learning Center for a nice refresher course on chicken keeping.
 
Thank you for the welcome. I went through many of the threads and read for two weeks before this post. lol I have rekindled many memories. lol We are looking forward to many years of fun with our new babies. We also have two house pigeons who are expecting two grand babies for us to enjoy the same day our chicks are to hatch at Murray Murrays hatchery
. So, we are truely going to the birds in our home. lol
