It looks like the rooster has some red leakage in his shoulders and across his back, so he's probably a Silver Duckwing crossed with another variety of the Duckwing family. The hen could be a Silver Ginger.

Yep. I agree with the Silver ginger.

Does any one have a pic of a silver ginger rooster? I might try to get one this spring. To go with my hens.

The hen could be one of may things including Silver Ginger, Silver quail, silver quill or just a cross. I get females like her from a cross of Columbian males over silver duckwing or BB red either way.

Just wanted to share a photo of a couple pullets that are finally starting to look mature, they're somewhere around 5-6 months old.



Not thrilled with the tail angle on the left, but she was fairly alarmed, so maybe she'll grow out of it.

I know oegb don't have yellow legs so why do my chicks all have yellow legs, the bbred rooster and hen both have white legs and she's only been with him

i got scared because my last batch of oegb chicks were blacks and brown reds and they had dark legs to start lol

Haha! Have fun raising them, or do you have your hen doing that for you? LOL!
